Andrew Jenner

With a background rooted in intellectual property (IP) law and with a Masters in Law from the University of Wales, Andrew Jenner was the Senior Policy Advisor of the IP Crime Policy Group for the UK Intellectual Property Office (IPO), before becoming its Head of Trade & Development.

Here he led the UK delegation within the World Trade Organisation and the World Intellectual Property Organisation. He was also the principle IP advisor to the EU on the World Health Organisation’s negotiations on Public Health, Innovation and IP. 

He went on to hold the position of Executive Director of Corporate Strategy & Legal Affairs at the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers & Associations (IFPMA), based in Geneva.

With extensive industry experience of global healthcare and legal frameworks, Andrew founded JS Consulting in 2014. Moving back to the UK, and with an impressive network of expert contacts in all corners of the globe, he set about establishing a business that worked with health organisations of all sizes, NGOs and trade associations to create conversations, form health and industry coalitions, and bring about sustainable change in global health markets. Andrew is JS Consulting’s Executive Director.

Recent projects

In April 2015, Andrew headed the organisation of the EU India conference in Delhi which formed a platform for dialogue between the EU and India on building health systems for universal coverage.

At the end of 2015 he held an Ambassador Roundtable in Geneva, an initiative created to launch international cross-industry principles for high-tech industries, working with the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).

Qualifications & accreditations

Andrew has a Bachelor degree in Engineering (B.Eng(Hons)), a Diploma in Law & Intellectual Property (PgD.LIP), and a Master of Laws (LL.M).

He also holds accreditations as a Chartered Manager (C.MGR), a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management (FCMI), a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA), and a Member of the Institute of Engineering & Technology (MIET).
